Juhu Beach is the largest beach, about 10 times bigger than Chowpatty Beach in Mumbai. Juhu Beach is located in the northern part of Mumbai and it is a very populated area. The beach is located almost at the center of the city. You can find many people in the beach at sunset and till 10pm. There are many food stalls near the beach offering many snacks and food items. People enjoy themselves with different activities at Juhu Beach.
The excellent cuisines and snacks offered by the local food stalls are very tempting. The street foods such as ‘Pani Puri’, ‘Bhel Puri’ and ‘Pav Bhaji’ are some of the many delicacies in the food stalls. Italian restaurants like Little Italy, Mangi Ferra, Don Giovanni, Penne and so on are other famous food centers where sea food is the main specialty. People can also visit pubs and discotheques near Juhu. The ‘Gandhi Gram’ is located at the north end of the beach where children spend their summer vacations playing basketball, cricket and football. Other exciting activities at Juhu are horse riding and camel riding. Dancing monkeys are also other attracting activity at Juhu. People also come to Juhu Beach for jogging, skipping, cycling and attend yoga sessions conducted by different groups. Statues of Indian freedom fighters like ‘Lokmanya Tilak’ and many others are an interesting experience.
Juhu Beach may be one of the shallowest beaches in the world. You can actually walk into the sea for quite a bit as there is very low current. There are many restaurants having sea view located at the side of the beach where one can get coffee for all day long. Watching sunset at Juhu is one of the best attractions of the place.
